Why The World Is Round

A friend is facing the task of going through her recently deceased mother's closet. She ended up there for six hours today alone, as her sister did not show up to help as promised. But she said she found a piece of paper torn out with the following quote on it: "The reason the world is round is to make sure we can't see what is around the next corner or lies ahead." She said that finding that quote helped her get through her day and the difficult task.
It gave me goosebumps when she told me -- was it prophetic or just saying taking things as they come? Was it her mom's way of leaving her a message to find after she passed away? Whatever it was, my friend found it to be helpful today in facing a challenge. Isn't that what moms are supposed to do? I sure try to do that in my role as a mom, but sometimes it is difficult.
